Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a torrid period, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This represents his initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Success also indicates he has won 21 titles at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive approach and regular reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his capacity to perform at the highest level was finished.
But the player has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an better serve.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent saved 4 early opportunities in a close final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he clinched the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
